Every month I go to this drum jam. It is family friendly. Don’t have a drum? There are usually extras. Just want to bang on something? There are always shakers, sticks, tamborines, etc. Just want to dance? Go for it! This is truly a place that is welcoming, where you can just be yourself.
I understand how nervous this kind of thing could make someone who doesn’t know how to play. Don’t worry about it! Really! What makes it so beautiful is how everyone might go at a different speed, play a different beat, and yet it all sounds beautiful and blended. Really, no worries!
